Nature and scope of our financial advice

Crestwell Private Office Limited is a registered Financial Service Provider in New Zealand (FSP1013094). Our advice scope includes:

  • Life insurance, income protection, trauma, and health insurance
  • Investment products, including managed funds and portfolio investments
  • KiwiSaver schemes
  • Residential and commercial mortgages and lending
  • Business insurance, including key person and buy-sell cover
  • Financial planning and cashflow modelling

Important limitation: Crestwell Private Office does not provide legal advice. Succession and legacy planning services are provided in coordination with your qualified legal advisers, who are responsible for the preparation of wills, trusts, enduring powers of attorney, and other legal documents.

We are paid in the following ways, depending on the service provided:

Conflicts of interest

Crestwell Private Office is not owned by a bank, insurer, or investment manager. We may receive commission or other payments in some service categories, which can create conflicts of interest. We identify, disclose, and manage those conflicts as follows:

  • We may receive higher commission from some providers than others. We manage this by recommending products based on suitability and merit, not commission rates.
  • Some providers may offer volume bonuses or incentives. We disclose any such arrangements and ensure they do not influence our advice.
  • Where a conflict cannot be adequately managed, we will decline to provide advice on that product.

We maintain a Conflicts of Interest Register, which is available on request.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to resolve it within 20 business days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer it to our approved disputes resolution scheme:
